Hitachi required a re-design of their EU homepage to improve the overall user experience of the site and aesthetics to better reflect them as a social innovation brand. Restricted to strict design guidelines, the re-design introduces more dynamic elements and more content to give users a better understanding of what Hitachi does other than being known as a product company. The dynamic elements introduced i.e. the video in the banner and animation for sustainability help display content in an engaging way to support the innovation side. The overall design also required content to be organised and displayed carefully in order for it to work across different markets with fewer content and also help deliver against their KPIs of loading time and bounce rate to other Hitachi sites.
